I replaced the memory module. The work is minimal: two thumbscrews, three screws for the other plastic cover, three screws for the metal plate that protects the memory.

 

The new module is a CORSAIR 2GB 200-Pin DDR2 SO-DIMM DDR2 667 (PC2 5300) Laptop Memory Model VS2GSDS667D2. I suppose every DDR2 Laptop memory module will do.
